SARAH "LIZZIE" HEARNE

Being Balanced

I began my journey into massage when I was introduced to naturopathic medicine, acupuncture and massage while addressing my own health needs. These alternative therapies, combined with my background in psychology, sparked my interest in how the body “remembers”, and can hold on to, past physical and/or emotional traumas. These traumas — even daily stressors—can create disharmony in an individual’s body, mind and spirit causing an unbalanced state of being. This knowledge is what led me to my life’s work; helping people restore a healthy and balanced lifestyle through a holistic, customized bodywork wellness plan.

“Communication is the first and most important step in your bodywork therapy. Everyone has a unique story that contributes to his or her physical and mental state of being. I welcome the opportunity to work with you on your journey to a healthier, more balanced lifestyle.”

Massage

Picture
Massages are customized to meet your individual needs and goals. Working together we will create a treatment plan for relieving any tension and pain and we’ll identify the right pressure and technique to maximize your comfort and healing.

Bowen

Picture
Bowen therapy is a gentle and effective soft-tissue therapy that balances tension patterns in the body, creating a deep relaxation and renewing the body’s capacity for self healing.  It addresses the body as a whole, from the musculoskeletal system to the fascia, nerves and internal organs.

Aromamassage

Picture

An hour massage ending with an essential oil application to the spine, ears and feet to help relieve stress, supports the immune response, promotes a healthy inflammatory response and increases homeostasis.  A gentle treatment for deep relaxation, clarity and a sense of balance.

Hands of Hope

Picture

A gentler approach to massage or Bowen for those undergoing treatment of cancer.  Can be used for those with other medical conditions that require the ‘less is more’ principle.

Rossiter Therapy

Picture
Rossiter therapy uses an active stretching and resistance to work on the body’s connective tissue system.  While typical stretching benefits tight muscles, Rossiter works to stretch muscles AND connective tissue for powerful pain relief.

Zen Face

Picture

A treatment using a grounding blend of essential oils to relieve tension and stress in face and scalp while lifting tissue and draining lymph.  Great for those with headaches and seasonal allergies.

Trauma Release Exercise

Picture
TRE® (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises) assist the body in releasing deep muscular patterns of stress, tension and trauma by activating the natural reflex mechanism of shaking or vibrating that releases muscular tension, calming down the nervous system.

The benefits of TRE include:

Less worry and anxiety                        More energy and endurance
Reduces symptoms of PTSD               Less workplace stress
Better Sleep                                         Reduced Muscle and Back Pain
                                                                    Relief from chronic medical conditions.
