Creative Holistic Class Offerings

Taught by a Kristie Sessoms, LCMHC

1. Breath & Brush: Emotional Regulation Through Art
This class focuses on stress reduction and emotional regulation through guided breathing exercises and simple art-making practices. Participants will learn calming tools they can use in daily life while using painting and drawing to safely release tension and reconnect with the present moment.

2. Inside Out: Expressing What Words Can’t Hold
Designed for emotional expression and creative release, this class helps participants explore feelings that may be difficult to verbalize. Through abstract art, color exploration, and expressive creative techniques, individuals are encouraged to safely express emotions in a supportive environment.

3. The Nervous System on Paper
This educational and experiential class teaches participants about the nervous system, stress responses, and emotional regulation. Through guided art activities such as body mapping and visual expression, individuals will gain insight into how emotions and stress are experienced physically while learning practical grounding skills.

4. Calm in Color: Grounding Through Creative Practice
This mindfulness-based class uses calming art activities such as watercolor, repetitive patterns, and mindful coloring to promote relaxation and present-moment awareness. The focus is on slowing down, reducing anxiety, and creating a peaceful, restorative experience.

5. Held & Heard: Art for Emotional Release
This class provides a safe space for participants to process and release emotions such as grief, stress, anger, and overwhelm through guided creative expression. Participants will engage in reflective art activities designed to support emotional release, validation, and healing.

6. Dear One: Rewriting the Inner Voice Through Art
Focused on self-compassion and emotional healing, this class helps participants explore and reshape negative self-talk through art and reflective writing exercises. Creative activities are designed to encourage self-kindness, resilience, and a healthier relationship with oneself.

7. Sanuk Studio: Joy as a Healing Practice
Centered on the healing power of joy, playfulness, and creativity, this class encourages participants to reconnect with positive emotions through vibrant art-making and mindfulness practices. The focus is on cultivating moments of lightness, connection, and emotional renewal.

8. From Numb to Noticing: Reconnecting Through Art
This gentle, sensory-focused class supports individuals who may feel emotionally disconnected, shut down, or overwhelmed. Through grounding exercises and tactile creative activities, participants will practice reconnecting with their emotions, bodies, and surroundings in a safe and supportive way.
