Hello, I am Kristie, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. My educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services from Wingate University, a Master’s degree in Chaplaincy and Counseling from Campbell University, and a Master’s in Professional Counseling from Liberty University.

My journey in the helping field began in 2001 as a Campus Minister at NC State. Through this experience, I discovered my passion for counseling. Since then, I have facilitated grief and loss groups in a psychiatric hospital and worked in the community, supporting children, adolescents, couples, and adults dealing with depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, bipolar disorder, life transitions, trauma, and more.

My counseling approach is eclectic, drawing from various therapeutic methods based on your unique needs. I primarily use cognitive-behavioral techniques and mindfulness practices to foster positive change. I am dedicated to helping people transform old patterns, self-limiting beliefs, and habits that prevent them from being their authentic selves. I adopt an integrative approach that attends to the mind, body, and spirit.

In my work with the LGBTQIA community, I provide affirming and supportive care, addressing issues such as identity exploration, coming out (accepting it for themselves and sharing with others), and coping with discrimination.

I believe that while techniques and approaches are crucial in the therapeutic process, building trust between the client and counselor is fundamental. My goal is always to create a safe space for empathy and understanding.

I work with children, teens, adults, couples, and familes.

Please call us at 336-841-4307 if you are interested in more information or would like to schedule an appointment with Kristie.

We hope to see you at The Center for Holistic Healing soon!
