I am a licensed Marriage and Family therapist.  In 1997, I graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a minor in Sociology.  In 1999, I graduated from Appalachian State University with a Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.  Since then, I have been trained as a Level II trained clinician in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), and become a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) as well as the North Carolina Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (NCAMFT).

I have spent the last decade working with couples, families, and individuals at every age and stage of life.  I practice therapy through both a systemic and integrative framework of thought.  I believe each person that I work with brings with them a unique set of goals to work towards in therapy.  I am here to guide them through their troubles as they work towards healing and ultimately thriving by honoring and nurturing their mind, body, and spirit connection.

I work with all DSM-V diagnoses with a particular interest in individuals, couples, and families dealing with depression, anxiety, grief, relationship issues, divorce, step-family issues, postpartum depression, infertility, and family building issues, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), addictions, and eating disorders.
